"Can finance be moral?"

Discussion led by Lord Charles Cecil, Chairman of Samos Investments Advisory Ltd. 6.30pm for a glass of wine, under the Octagon, followed by keynote address at 7pm.

Lord Charles Cecil has had a career in the financial sector for 40 years. He has been a co-founder and director of companies that specialise in the management of private equity funds. He sits on a number of boards of private companies. He is Chairman of Samos Investments Advisory Ltd and Vice-Chairman of Altius Holdings Ltd.

Charles is a member of the Editorial Board of the Salisbury Review, a Trustee of the Foundation for Social and Economic Thinking (the parent of the Politeia think tank), and Vice Chairman of the Council of the R.S. Surtees Society. He is Patron or President of a number of Hertfordshire-based charities and organisations (including the Diocesan Penal Affairs Group) and a member of the Court of The University of Hertfordshire. He is also a member of the Governing Board of the British Acupuncture Association.

He served on the Council of the Children’s Society and was Vice Chairman of the Rambert Dance Company. He was for some years a council member of the Association for Business Sponsorship of the Arts (later Arts and Business).
